Not-So-CRaZy-Weekend

I love weekends that allow you to be you...just hanging out at home from busy weeks make one re-gather thoughts and dreams for the soul. Enjoying the warm So-Cal weather and my beautiful backyard that is in full bloom...peaches are growing, flowers are in bloom, and the citrus tree aroma fills my patio area...After baseball on Friday, I headed into the weekend without any definite plans for myself; for 1 of my sons, that was quite the opposite. With sleepovers, 2 parties and a UCR baseball game with dad left our 9 year old exhausted. Oh to just crawl up on the couch and sleep after all that...those days are few and far between.

Saturday I woke up with a tug on my mind...I had purchased 2 of the cutest tee's and tanks from the Junk Gypsy's at http://www.gypsyville.com/ on Friday. After exploring their Rebel Road Sista website, I began thinking...we have successfully instilled in our children the foundation of God, Family and Friends but where is the sense of wonder and exploration? Why not just take off for the weekend, away from all the city drama and just take off your shoes in run in the open field? Enjoy Nature, God and Family? And so it began...I wanted to do something out of the ordinary. I stepped out of the box and repainted the sofa table...oh the sofa table that was so plain and boring before...has now become transformed into something that will be a constant reminder of this weekend of self exploration...when my inner Gypsy came out.
Here are my before and after pics.
The sofa table was screaming for a make-over....

So after a light sand, I painted it red, red, red (at the suggestion of my fellow Gypsians, Tracy and Shelly)...I bet she's screaming now...

...then rubbed her down with a chocolate-black paint to give her a more worn-out finish; so she has a story to tell of her journey...

All I have to do now is add the glass handle I bought at a local Antique store here in Riverside (oh we are loaded with them in Downtown Riverside...I love my city!)
This little baby will go back behind the couch in the family room...my kids will think I'm weird...I'll just call it my inner road trip...

With a Saturday evening free for my husband and myself, we headed down to Duane's at the Mission Inn...oh I LOVE that restaurant and area! I had their chopped salad (Julienne Trio of Lettuces, Red Onion, Mushrooms, Green Olives, Bacon, Hearts of Palm and Crumbled Blue Cheese tossed with Garlic Vinaigrette) which I know this week I will be back for more; it was the best salad I've ever tasted in my entire LIFE! We enjoyed filet mignon and lobster with a glass of Cakebread Chardonnay, then topped off the dinner with Banana's Jubilee prepared table-side. We talked and laughed and were reminded why we are so made for each other. He is truly my best friend!
This weekend was much needed for us both. We needed to regather our thoughts, shake off the winter-gloom days, and start the week off right...our kids will appreciate it! Plus I had an opportunity to get back to doing the things I love to do; sit and enjoy my beautiful home and start (and finish) a fun project to add to our sanctuary!
The journey will not stop here my friends...stay tuned for some changes in CrazySportzMom...where maybe a "blinging gypsy" may appear out of nowhere...

ASA Opening Day went....

...better than we had ever hoped. We had a blast being the EXCLUSIVE designer for Orangecrest ASA and their very cool and unique logo. With Meg and Michelle's help, we were able to get this little jewel of a logo manufactured in time for this big event this weekend. There were so many vendors all in support of this elite league with all these talented young ladies...reminds me of my softball days when I was in Elementary School...oh it wasn't that long ago.... This little event that ASA put on is a yearly tradition (as is for our baseball and football leagues in our area). Vendors come from all around to support this league and provide their specialty to a vast array of clientele. From the last Opening Day we did for Little League, I was able to network with other companies that want their company logo "blinged" out. Plus I get to see all my friends and their kids too...I love to socialize!!

From the worlds best kettle korn to fun games and rides for the young ones, this is one of the main reasons I love living here in Orangecrest. The families here are so geared toward sports and spending quality time together. I should know, I have had all 4 of my boys remain active in sports in this area...this is their home and community and they love it just as much as I do. My 9th grader Ryan was able to help me set up and watch the booth (and spent some great Mom and Son time together). He bought me breakfast and forced me to eat a couple cookies...thank you so much my dear son...I love you!

Of course our dear friend and salsa-connoisseur Diana Powers was there with her world famous salsa...sooooo good! Seriously, it is THAT good! Notice her CrazySportzMom support by her sporting her cute red tee with blue "baseball" in rhinestones...she did that to wear to her sons games at King High...Go Wolves!!!

Her son Noah was there with his warm smile to greet the customers in between rides, singing karaoke and hanging out with his friends. I met Premier Designs consultant Karen Mountain and had my eye on my next purchase...this cute this little bracelet is a must have for me...with pink, bling and has the shopping theme...oh I love it! It's so me!!! This line of inexpensive High Fashion Jewelry is the only company I know that donates a portion of the proceeds to help aid in Christian Ministries. That's why I was telling my husband that I needed to buy lots of jewelry...he didn't think that was so funny! Click on Karen's picture to email her if you are interested in hosting a party. I did and received lots of free jewelry, plus it was fun to hang out with my girlfriends!

My friend Lisa Survillas was there promoting her energy/health drink by Symmetry....Genesis seems to be a big thing these days. She is very knowledgeable about this product and all the benefits of it that you can receive. I began taking this about a week ago and I haven't felt better. I also give the Future Star to my kids....to promote physical, mental and emotional support for students' minds and bodies...containing an optimal brain food herbal blend, I'm hoping this delicious citrus flavored drink will help my boys stay focused in school.

Paul Davis, future City Councilman for Ward 4 was there with his family promoting his views on our community and all the positive changes he has planned for us. Click on his picture to be linked to his web site. Knowing him and his feelings about our community gives us a sense of trust and honesty. Here is someone wanting positive change in our area. We wish Paul all the luck!!

Overall it was a great day. Met new people, reconnected with some old friends from school and got lots of orders for CSM. The icing on the cake was meeting with the VP of Poly High School's Baseball Booster Club and received the thumbs up for moving forward with "blinging" out a design for their baseball mom's. We are excited to do this for them!!

After my morning shift, Angela showed up after watching our young ones' travel ball game in Temecula with my 11 year old Kyle and relieved me so I can watch the second game. It was a long day but this is what we do and we love it. We have some new items coming out in April so stay tuned and see what CSM is cooking up next....

So thank you Meg and all the parents from Orangecrest ASA for all your hard work in making this event so well planned and organized. It showed and paid off! And thank you for allowing us at CrazySportzMom the permission to do something real special with your logo...may you have many Blinging Blessings in your life!

One Cute Fidel...

This cute little Fidel hat got more than expected when Angela got a hold of it...one of my favorite hats for those "bad hair days" or not. We experimented with our hat press one day and this is what we came up with. Some logos work great when they are medium to small size and having if off to the side makes a statement....that you are not a follower and a bit of a Rebel.
Our little ones (they are 8 & 9 and hate it when we call them little) are on a travel ball club (Riverside Rebels Baseball Club) that is just starting but has high hopes and promises for our kids. Our moto "Atheletes of Character" is something we strive to give these young men and 1 little lady on our team. By not only teaching them the fundamentals of baseball and how to work hard, we also encourage good sportsmanship, contributors to our community and learn life skills that will carry them throughout life. We have such a great group of kids and are coaching staff is exceptional.

Wish us luck in the Triple Crown this weekend in Temecula! We hope to make a positive impression with our playing ability, sportsmanship and ....... BLING OF COURSE!!!

Come see Orangecrest ASA get Bling!!

Our lovely ladies with Orangecrest ASA have requested CrazySportzMom to be the "EXCLUSIVE" designer for their logo to receive a "little bling action". This newly formed organization is on its way to becoming the centerstone in Softball History...

In the Spring of 2008, Orangecrest ASA saw its reputation for quality softball grow as the league became the first Eastern Division program to have three teams qualify for the National Finals in a single all-star season. The 12U, 14U and high school team all qualified for the respective National Championship Tournaments. Not to mention all the titles and championships they won during their first year in 2007...the list goes on and on.

As active members in our community we were honored when asked to be part of their Opening Day ceremonies on Saturday, March 21st. Being the only company in our local area to "bling" their existing logo was quite a treat for us....not only because it's a cool logo but to actually be part of an organization that actually cares about its youth and encourages the love of the game, meant the world to Angela and I...

So if you want to come see us this upcoming weekend at Orange Terrace Park in Riverside, CA...come on by. We will be set up with all of our favorite "bling wear" and with our new Orangecrest ASA logo shining bright for all these bright stars....

We at CrazySportzMom wish all the ladies in Orangecrest ASA a wonderful season filled with fond memories and life skills that will carry you throughout life... PLAY BALL!!!

Mavericks Gone Bling-Crazy...

Here's one of our newest creations, the Mavericks Ball Club located in Corona, California. Our dear friends have a wonderful son (a wonderful family really!) who plays on this travel ball club. He is an awesome player and all around kid. One night as we sat during dinner, my friend Jenn asked about having their logo "blinged" out for an upcoming tournament in Arizona. Wow, Arizona! I absolutely love it there...oh, back to the message....sorry...

So we got the logo, had it blinged and look at how adorable it looks. This precious little logo will be making its debute in another state...wow how far we have come in such a short period. Never in a million years would I have imagined myself and Angela heading up this great way to show our love for our kids sports and encourage the same with other moms.

If you are interested in having your logo blinged or creating a new design that is all your own, give us a call. We would be happy to meet with you and go over some options.

Good Luck Troy and all the Mavericks players....we wish you well in Arizona!!!

Take a Moment...

As I headed out this morning, I couldn't help but think about all the things that needed to get done; ortho appointment, bank, pick up garments and transfers, drop off garments and on top of it all I have a son home sick not feeling well (don't worry, he's old enough to be home alone). So how in the world am I going to get all this done? Somehow I managed to do it and it's barely noon. Or was it by chance?

On my way thru Corona, I spoke to a friend and future "bling" customer for the Mavericks (travel ball club in Corona) and he reminded me just how blessed and fortunate we are during this very difficult time in our economy. How some have lost lots and some are still hanging in there...and by what? Was it chance? I don't think so. I have a faith that is constantly reminding me that God is and always will be there to give me only what I can handle and what I need. And so far, he has been Faithful!!

So take a moment to be thankful for what you have; food, a home, a job, faith and all the things we may sometimes take for granted. And during that time, pray for those less fortunate. Someone may not have the same perspective you do and could use a little reassurance.... or use a little FAITH!!!

May you have a Blingingful Blessed Day!!!

We Will IM-PRESS You....

Boy is she hot....the press silly! Well we can be too but that's besides the point. We are super excited about our new purchase. I know the machine isn't cute, pink or have bling on it, but it is a big step for us. This is our new baby and her name is Patty...Patty Press! The first thing we blinged out was this Crazy Baseball Mom tote bag that is going to be one of the raffle gifts we have set aside for this Saturday when we have our booth set up for Little League Opening Day. We are excited to show our bling stuff to this other league in our area.
We will be there from 7 am - 5 pm; come on by for the festivities, food and bling! I hope they set us next to our friend Diana and her delicious Sports Salsa (oh gosh you have to buy some of that) and to our friend-gone-family member Chad who will be selling these awesome wall pics of your child. I guess I'll have to order one for each of my 5 children and 1 grandbaby...
All in all it was a great day today. We are just super excited to have our heat press and ready to rock-n-bling (instead of roll) with all of our stuff. We thank you all for your support and business!

Our First Boutique was a SUCCESS!!!

At Orangecrest Pony's Opening Day we weren't sure exactly how the day was going to go. We started early that morning (around 7 am but still plenty of time for our Starbucks) and set up our area at Orange Terrace Park in the new "meadow" area. With the help of our kids and my wonderful husband, Angela and I embarked on our very first CrazySportzMom boutique. We set up our tables, hung up the signs and prepared ourselves to "bling" every mom at our park....and within the 1st hour, we began seeing more and more people interested in our products and placing orders! Thank God, we were on our way!!! From CrazyBaseballMoms to OC Pony logo purchases, we found that all the moms sighed a sigh of relief that "FINALLY WE HAD SOME CUTE GIRLY SHIRTS TO SPORT AROUND!"

In our day we sold quite a few shirts yesterday and I can't wait to see these moms proudly sporting their "bling shirts" in our park. On top of that, we held 2 raffles to give away a Pony baseball bling cap (featured on top of the OC Pony logo bling shirt). We also proudly displayed our King Bling for MLK Track and Field and had a few order sheets taken to order for their team! And to add to our madness....we were also taking orders for J&J Graphics for team affiliated screen printing and embroidering. Whew, I just reminded myself how much we actually did yesterday....

All in all, we had a great time with our families, kids, friends, festivities and making new contacts with excited moms who purchased our great t-shirts and tanks. We had the pleasure of having our booth next to Sparks Team Realty (love that family to death and can't wait to start working on her bling logo!) and Diana Powers and her delicious Sports Salsa which by the way is a must have in everyones home...you can see her next week hopefully sitting right by us at Little League's Opening Day.

Diana Powers handing out taste tests to my hubby.

It's mmm, mmm good!!

The day ended on a positive note going to dinner with friends and having some quality time with the adults. Our husbands are probably the most supportive individuals who believe in what we sell because of how we are as individuals and the quality of work we put in every product. I think they can't wait to become our Cabana Boys when we become millionairesses and be allowed to play golf and coach our babies all day long. I wonder if they'll wear a "whose your bling daddy" shirt???
